I wanted the scene to read if this elderly man woke up in the middle of the night from a sound in his house. He then goes and gets his gun. He carefully walks towards the sound. Then I stop the scene just as he sees where the sound is coming from. Very dramatic!

I tried to create the most vulnerable person, an elderly man almost naked. This image spawn from the Florida beaches. I then wanted to have it look like he came out of bed. I gave him bed-head, his underwear and his socks are disheveled. Furthermore, I wanted to give him a reason to protect something. I put a chain around his neck, representing money, and a wedding ring, representing a spouse present.
