As a youth, I was very involved with the church and local youth groups. I have developed a deep appreciation for religion and a higher being. My experience exposed me to people who projected themselves through the church and with a highly religious persona. Many of these people were good moral people, but an assorted bunch used this label as a pretentious cover. This hypocrisy dishearten my feelings so much it pushed me away from religion. Even though I was someone who believed I had a deep connection with Christ. I wanted to show a set of praying hands, clinched tightly, with two finger crossed in selfish defiance. Even though your hands are together in pray, it doesn’t mean your prayer is an honest one.
